How we design

We design the whole system, not a single product.

Most properties aren't one-technology problems. We regularly design and install combinations — a heat pump driving underfloor heating and radiators, air conditioning for rooms that need cooling or fast heat, solar PV and battery to power it, biomass where it suits — engineered around the specific property and how the customer actually lives.

Why customers choose us

Merit-based reasons, in our own words.

We let the work speak. Here's what tends to bring customers to us, and what keeps them with us.

  • Technical depth on integrated systems

The custom integrations most installers turn down — like a biomass boiler and heat pump sharing one control manifold — we engineer directly with the manufacturer. See the Fortrose case study.

  • Manufacturer-trained across brands

Specialist training on Vaillant, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Grant UK and others — so we recommend the kit that suits your home, not the kit we're tied to.

  • 16 years of in-house experience

Installing renewables since 2010 — before most Scottish heating firms took heat pumps seriously. Sixteen winters of weather-tested installs, and the judgement that comes with them.

  • Customers who come back

Much of our work is repeat business — Loch Ness Hub returned years after their first install to add battery storage and an EV charger. Read their story.

How we work

Six steps, end to end.

From the first free estimate through to a year of post-install remote monitoring, every project runs the same way. Designed and project-managed in-house, delivered by fully qualified engineers at every stage.

  1. Step 1

    Free estimate

A no-obligation estimate based on what you tell us about the property and what you want the system to do. No call-out fee, no pressure.

  2. Step 2

    Pre-start survey

Once an estimate is accepted, we carry out a proper site survey before any installation — measuring the building, modelling heat loss or generation, and checking the existing services.

  3. Step 3

    Full proposal

Issued after the survey. Clearly flags any changes from the estimate, with the reasoning. Fully transparent up front — no mid-job surprises.

  4. Step 4

    Installation

Carried out by fully qualified engineers at every stage. We programme the schedule with you and keep disruption to the building proportionate.

  5. Step 5

    Detailed handover

On every job. You leave the handover knowing exactly how the system works, what every control does, and where to find your paperwork.

  6. Step 6

    First-year monitoring & optimisation

We remotely monitor every system we install and optimise it through the first year — tuning for efficiency and comfort as you live with it through every season.
